Whether it was organizing meet-ups, thoughtfully hosting the Deshwapsi event or helped us connect with like-minded people. She made everything feel so warm — like we truly belonged. And because of her or Deshwapsi group, now we have a group of people we call them family. A big thanks to her.

Kudos to Manvi for not only building a community and support system of NRIs but also actively engaging and significant effort she puts in organizing meetups and events. Her energy is contagious . ‘Home is where your heart is !’ Return to homeland bought settlement in our lives. Living in Europe over a decade and then moving back to India was not easy for us. We had a well settled life there with some lovely people around. But then during Corona we had seen how fragile a life can be, how difficult to raise kids in health crisis without family support, seen many loosing their near dear ones and weeping in grief from a far land. We realised with decent earning in India we can give a good life to our kids, also can be close by to our parents and family. If we compare India with countries in Europe, we lack in so many things, specially in terms of basic civic sense, work life balance etc. Of course we still miss some part of our life in abroad but at the end ‘India’ is home, we are some way responsible for our own home. A small contribution from us can bring big difference in future India, in terms of civic sense we make sure that our family or people connected to us don’t litter around, respect everyone equally and be kind to each other. Coming back to Deshwaapsi group, it helped us in many ways . From deciding about the move to getting settled here, to finding friends of similar thoughts to explore places near us. Thank you Deshwaapsi group, keep up the good work by guiding people like us. Your honest opinion definitely helps people who are still trying to figure it out if they want to move back or stay back.
